Syllabus overview
The standard Investment Analysis add-on course is built around company analysis. It gives learners a structured way to read company evidence, retrieve key knowledge, calculate simple measures, answer Section A-style evidence questions and write their own evidence-based classroom judgements with a practical next investment action.
The course:
- introduces learners to investment terminology, company evidence and market data
- develops learners' skills in using simple financial calculations to analyse and interpret information, as well as to organise and present ideas
- explores links between risk, return, inflation, interest rates, costs, diversification and valuation
- examines how regulation, exchange rates, debt, economic cycles and sector conditions affect company analysis
- engages learners in applying evidence to company cases while distinguishing classroom judgement from personalised financial advice.
